About the Job

Assignment objective and scope

Problem Statement

Although women represent 46.4% of all business owners in Ghana (one of the highest rates of women-led

businesses across all GEM-surveyed countries), 80% of them are micro-entrepreneurs and they represent only

~16% of high-growth enterprises Meanwhile, in the YEFP Ghanaian Ecosystem Assessment, soft -skills training

was identified as the number 1 barrier to growth for high-growth entrepreneurs. Despite this, Ghana hosts

incredibly strong physical infrastructure across telecommunication and fiber optic networks; the country also

boasts several high-quality educational institutions for engineering and soft ware development with a

favorable tax climate for international investors. A strong entrepreneur support organization is needed in

Ghana to cultivate more high-growth female entrepreneurs with the soft skills and business acumen

required to complement the existing market opportunities.
